Law of diminishing marginal utility

Law of diminishing marginal utility states that the more you consume of particular product in the given time the the level of satisfaction decreases, in other words on consumption of a particular product in a given span of time the utility derived from it decreases, consumption and utility has an inverse relationship, utility varies from positive to zero and can also go negative.
For example:- if a customer wants to have a pizza, when he has for the first time he's very happy so the utility what he derived from it would be the max but when he eats second pizza the utility will be a little Less  and when he has his third pizza the utility decreases and after a point of time the utility becomes zero and then goes negative.
