Demand of tea

Export markets regained by Darjeeling Tea.

As the tea planters of Darjeeling were hoping for a better season, it is a very good news for them that the Darjeeling tea's export market is in demand and it is quite encouraging as said by SANJAY BANSAL, the chairman of AMBOOTIA GROUP.  The protestors called the strike and the work in the tea estates was stopped for a separate Gorkhaland state which led to heavy loss of second flush teas.

As the Darjeeling Tea is back in the export market in high demand, importers from Germany, Japan and UK have boosted confidence in them and are buying up good volumes of tea.

After the second flush, the price of tea is been rising from the last month and touched the highest price of Rs. 561/kg which is normally Rs. 84/kg higher than the usual price in 2016.

The price comparison of last year cannot be done as there was no tea in the last yaer to be sold.
