MARGINAL DIMINISHING UTILITY :-
1.Need of WATER: if you are thirsty and someone gives you glass of water, that gives you huge satisfaction. If you offered another glass of WATER, then this will not give you the same amount of satisfaction as the first glass.
2.Barbeque marketing: Barbeque Nation offers us some fixed amount of coupon specially for unlimited consumption of food. So for every additional food item consumption the satisfaction was decreased as compare initial stage.
OPPORTUNITY COSTS:-
1. After my graduation in BTech, I had 2 choice :1. To search for job
2. To do PG
so by analysing all the strengths and weaknesses of choices, I had decided to go with the PG course because I found there will be an extra marginal benefit in terms of placement or package of the income.
2. One day I went out for shopping where I choosed one pair of shoes and one pair of sandle, but as per my budget I could buy only one pair. So I was in the dilemma between these two but later I choosed shoes because I can wear these to everywhere and it gives me extra benefit as compared to sandle.
CORDINAL UTILITY :-
1. Once I booked a cab for travelling to somewhere, but I forgot my wallet in the cab. But the driver was so loyal he brought back the wallet for me. So I rated 5 star to him in that app.So this ratings are Cordinal utility.
2. To know little more about IBA College, I saw the shiksha.com reviews written by the alumni of IBA. So here the quality of the colleges decided by checking the ratings.
SEASONALITY EFFECTS IN SUPPLY:-
1. In our childhood during the summer vacations, we had more supply of classes for different activities like swimming dancing playing the badminton. So here the seasonality is summer holidays.
2. Usually during the Shaavn month devotees tend to visit more number of times to Lord Shiva temple. So here the seasonality is the Shaavan month and the supply of the different Puja items will increased.
PRICE MECHANISMS:-
1. During summer season the supply of the AC increases, So the demand for factory market decreases, so the shortage created. Due to this the price of the factory increases ( wages, cost of production, transportation). So this supply of the factory manufacturer in increases and the demand decreases.
2. Recently in an article, it is mentioned that the government of India passed an order to decontrol the price of the diesel and remove it from the jurisdiction of the government. Now the price will be determined by demand from consumers and Supply from the oil companies.
